A Frozen Dream, Forever Burning Under the Winter Moon

Prancy, prancy, prancery prancing in the snow!

I love the snow. I love how the first fallen inches crunch underfoot. I love how everything can be so easily illuminated even with such little light reflecting off the pure white coating. I love how flurries look under artificial light. I love how something so cold can feel so fluffy and soft. I love how great of an excuse it is to dress in the most ridiculous clothing, as long as it holds heat. I love the glistening white on rooftops and trees. I love lethal icicles. I love leaving the first trails of footprints.

Most of all, though, I love having someone to go back inside with and warm up next to.

I didn't sleep tonight. I was up until 3 AM talking online and doing laundry when it started snowing. After the initial excitement and caps lock bombarding of Messenger contacts, I started packing on layers. I had almost made it to the door when I glanced down and noticed I didn't have anything other than my pajama pants on my lower half. So, I threw my black cords on and headed out for some initial inspection of the falling snow. After a bit of mindless wandering, I came back inside to grab my cell phone.

Time for a photoblog entry. =D

This one is the incriminating evidence of me doing the Invader Zim hop around in circles out in the street. For some reason, my first thought was, "Shhh...I'm hunting wetawded wabbits..." My mind might've been trying to subtly tell me something. >_>

The next few shots were taken from behind the apartment in the courtyard and around the entrance path to our apartment cluster:

-from the third story stairs above our apartment-

-from the street facing the path to our apartment-

-the little stone fence from which I've been taking blocks for a fire pit on the back porch-

-some of the small trees in the courtyard-

-a shot of the recreation building in front of the courtyard-

-the aforementioned workings of a fire pit and one of the road construction goodies we've pilfered-

-my personal favorite, the path between two apartment cluster buildings-

And to finish off the gallery, this last one was taken from the same exact spot as the previous, but in the opposite direction. The extreme change in brightness was caused by environmental lighting, not by my cell, which I find quite spiffy...

It feels like we could last forever, and I'm not doing this alone. When memories fade, we've got each other. When time and confusion collide, I'm holding on when I hold you.

Daaang, I'll overlook the craptastic quality of your camera phone and skip straight to the "Congrats on a jorb well done!"

Photo blags seem to hold a person's attention much better than just plain text, and help give better visual demonstrations of how much I really hate snow and cold weather in general.

Think up something witty to add to SubtleS, kthx.
