A Frozen Dream, Forever Burning Under the Winter Moon

Prancy, prancy, prancery prancing in the snow!

I love the snow. I love how the first fallen inches crunch underfoot. I love how everything can be so easily illuminated even with such little light reflecting off the pure white coating. I love how flurries look under artificial light. I love how something so cold can feel so fluffy and soft. I love how great of an excuse it is to dress in the most ridiculous clothing, as long as it holds heat. I love the glistening white on rooftops and trees. I love lethal icicles. I love leaving the first trails of footprints.

Most of all, though, I love having someone to go back inside with and warm up next to.

I didn't sleep tonight. I was up until 3 AM talking online and doing laundry when it started snowing. After the initial excitement and caps lock bombarding of Messenger contacts, I started packing on layers. I had almost made it to the door when I glanced down and noticed I didn't have anything other than my pajama pants on my lower half. So, I threw my black cords on and headed out for some initial inspection of the falling snow. After a bit of mindless wandering, I came back inside to grab my cell phone.

Time for a photoblog entry. =D

This one is the incriminating evidence of me doing the Invader Zim hop around in circles out in the street. For some reason, my first thought was, "Shhh...I'm hunting wetawded wabbits..." My mind might've been trying to subtly tell me something. >_>

The next few shots were taken from behind the apartment in the courtyard and around the entrance path to our apartment cluster:

-from the third story stairs above our apartment-

-from the street facing the path to our apartment-

-the little stone fence from which I've been taking blocks for a fire pit on the back porch-

-some of the small trees in the courtyard-

-a shot of the recreation building in front of the courtyard-

-the aforementioned workings of a fire pit and one of the road construction goodies we've pilfered-

-my personal favorite, the path between two apartment cluster buildings-

And to finish off the gallery, this last one was taken from the same exact spot as the previous, but in the opposite direction. The extreme change in brightness was caused by environmental lighting, not by my cell, which I find quite spiffy...

It feels like we could last forever, and I'm not doing this alone. When memories fade, we've got each other. When time and confusion collide, I'm holding on when I hold you.

Fall for the Same Things

I re-dyed my hair to black last night since my brown roots were starting to come through. Actually, to be more precise, it's that Garnier Fructis blue-black stuff. It usually looks just black, but under certain lights (such as those in the Sterling Village pool room =D), the shiney dark blue apparently shows pretty well.

This morning I dressed completely in black for the first time in a couple weeks. It worked pretty well since my sideburns were still really dark from the dye, along with the rest of my hair, and I uhh...had a little bit of eyeliner on. =O I got a new MSN display picture from it anyway, so I'll call it a success. I also got a new MySpace picture while screwing around with my cell phone on my bed right after the dying ordeal.

Earlier today I "commissioned" Geiger to take my banner concept and turn it into something worth looking at. He did an awesome job, as you should be able to see quite soon after this post is up. You pwn, Geiger.

I met a new acquaintance after school today. He's in the most recent cohort, cohort 12, at Neumont. He was looking for a ride to The Falls and I gave him a lift even though I'm at Sterling. We had some pretty funny conversation between the school and his apartment, including topics such as: Super Dale, the coding contest, and the impotence of Utah alcohol. And oh yeah, his name is Nathan too.

Nathan: "Hey, Nathan, right?"
Me: "Yeah."
Nathan: "Me too."
Me: "Haha that's great. I had no idea."

I'm an ass for not knowing anything about him I guess. =/ But then again there have been a couple different new guys that have known my name for whatever reason. Maybe I have a certain allure. >_>

Speaking of the coding contest, that was today during Projects (1-4 pm, for all you non-Neumont kiddies). I didn't do too well, but that's to be expected. I need to brush up on my StreamReader and string manipulation skills...along with everything else. *_*

Anyway, now I'm just waiting for my laundry to finish drying. I guess that means it's time for some DS goodness in the form of the newly remade FF3. G'night all.

It's not me you're waiting for. Give it up, give it up, don't fall for the same things. Don't fall for mistakes that I made. This is where it ends.

A New Radical

Good morning, beautiful!

I awoke at 7:09. Now I'm eating Tootie Frooties and drinking lemonade of the Kool variety. Kyle has been in the bathroom until just now. That means I need to get my scrawny ass in there before Sky takes all the hot water.

Let's hope today will be a good Monday for a change, yes?

Wake up kids, we've got the dreamer's disease.

The End of a Tragedy

Today has been an extremely lazy one for me. I watched the rest of Shopgirl around noon - about an hour after I woke up. It's really a weird feeling movie and I don't particularly like the extended sections with Steve Martin's character, but Jason Schwartzman makes it worth the watch. I also think it would be worth re-watching with the right person.

After that I spent a while just pissing away the time on the computer. I came up with what I think is a pretty good idea for a personal banner that I could throw up on the top of this blog. If GIMP treats me well I might have it up some time over the next couple days.

Kyle and I went to Best Buy and Wal-Mart around five since our goodies were running low. I want to get one of those iPod Griffin thingers for my van so I won't have to worry about wear and tear on my precious CDs.

Anyway, Old School just ended since Kyle threw it in right before he drifted off to his (apparently) orgasmic sleepy wonderland. Some of the stuff he does while sleeping really creeps me out. Oh well, just about time for me to get to some of that orgasmicness as well. Or something. *cough*

Tonight is the last of the long weekend after Thanksgiving which unfortunately means I have classes in the morning. It's supposed to snow tomorrow and hopefully the day after. I love the first snowfall of the year. Hopefully I'll have good company for some wicked sledding action. G'night lovelies.

She brings her hands up towards where my hands rested. She wraps her fingers around mine with the softness she's blessed with. She peels away my fingers, looks at me, and then gestures by pushing my hand away towards my chest, from her's.

The Fountain

I just got back from watching The Fountain at Jordan Landing with Hana. She's definitely quite fun to be around. The movie was quite good as well. Hana had been looking forward to it quite a bit. I highly recommend it for fans of Hugh Jackman and anyone who likes a bit of trippish fantasy with their dramatic romance.

Earlier today I got my hair cut over at that Great Clips place next to Albertson's on State. The girl that did my hair was interesting. We shared some of that genuine conversation that can only be the result of that span of time while a person is cutting another person's hair. The chit-chat eventually turned into a bit of discussion about hair color and how she thought my hair would be really fun with which to experiment. I've been thinking from time to time about putting a little red in my hair for the past year or two and she was really convincing with how she described how she would do it. She said, however, that they unfortunately did not do hair color there, and that we should exchange numbers in case I ever decided I wanted to do it.

I'm not going to get the coloring done before I go to Washington for quarter break, but I probably will shortly thereafter. I just don't want to piss off my dad since he's been my main family support since I've come to SLC and I don't want to disappoint my grandpa since he likely won't be around much longer. I miss quite a few of the members of my dad's side of the family.

Also worth mentioning, I saw Casino Royale, the new 007 movie, last night at Jordan Commons after playing a bit of DDR at the State Nickelcade with Ryan and Go Wei from school and a silly 14-ish year old who works there.

Can I pretend you don't exist just for ten more minutes? My heart's been broken into two, rusted from years of disuse. So will you place upon it your hand and will you help it beat again?

Exclamation!

Hello, and welcome to my new-ish blog! My current plan is to use this simply as a bit of a journal with frequent updates about my daily happenings and going-ons. I'll hopefully manage to avoid going into too much detail about anything in particular at any given time in hopes of avoiding too much boredom.

Enjoy, cracka'.

These are the words that escape from my lungs; rupture the wall built around my heart.
